Missions Of UA2
There are many missions in Undead Assault 2. Usually these range from easy and simple work to deadly and seriously annoying duties. Nontheless, these duties are still accomplishable and not un-needed. By the way, I don't count myself as being a 'pro' as I'm still improving myself in UA2. Do note that, missions will not exactly be grouped accordingly. The missions are categorized into 3 groups :
1. Novice ( Easy as hell )
2. Intermediate ( OKAY )
3. Experienced ( Annoying and a lot of work )
Note : Im covering ONLY covering Normal, Hard, Insane and Umbrella. I will focus on Survival in another guide. This covers UA2 1.5 beta 7 missions only.
Novice missions
Most of these are missions should mostly pose no problem to you. In this game, teamwork is extremely important except if you like soloing then that's your own preference. ( Be a GHOST or Scout Recon if you solo/scout, you stand a better chance of survival! )
Find Survivors Objective : Find as many survivors and lead them to the safety behind the barricade. You'll have to escort them to the specified town later.
My Solution What I mostly do is to grab the ground flares and smoke grenades(they are near the well) first, save these for the later periods when zombies start to swarm. It greatly helps save enough time for SOME survivors to make it through but dont be disappointed if only a handful of them escape. This is one of the most difficult first missions. However, with a good amount of firepower and some luck, you'll be getting alot of EXP for every survivor. Be sure to watch your health and not go Rambo. Remember, any survivors left behind will immediately die and turn into Undead when the time for evacuation to the town arrives.
Be careful, these buggers can really pack a punch if they come in groups.
Spore Colonies do not attack. They produce a Minion about every 8-12 seconds.
Eliminate spore colonies Objective : Destroy four or five( not really sure) spore colonies before time runs out. You are given about 8 minutes.
My Solution This is, in my opinion, the most common and easiest of all first missions. Hence, it does not offer much EXP. If your a Global Hawk or your friend is, try to send him/her to do this mission as it can easily and effectively destroy the spores in record time. But if you pass by any one of them, you can try to weaken or neutralize it but REMEMBER, if your getting swarmed by zombies/lickers/whatever the hell looks dead to you, you MUST quickly seek the refuge of the nearest town. It would be troublesome to die this early in the game plus medics are more busy using their MP to heal then bother rezing you.
Class B Zombs and Gonarchs' neutralizations Objective : Eliminate 3 or 4 Class B zombs(easily distinguished as a freaking giant zomb) and 2 Gonarchs(Crypt Lords that REALLY need to know some family planning.. and prefereably be sterilized).
My Solution Run like the wind to the nearest South-East town(you might want to retrieve some supplies by going into some houses on your way there). For veterans like me, I'll first make a stand at the first police outpost(the one with 2 cops) so that I'll be able to kill a couple of dumb zombs and maybe 1 or 2 Bs. Dont be shy that you get overrun, the main priority is to stay alive. Personally if your a Combat Engineer or a Borg, spam some rockets when the big Gs come, it could turn the tide in your favour.
Protect convoy supplies
Objective : Guard the supplies located in the North until the convoy arrives.
Remember to always reload the sentry gun!
Try to use smoke grenades and delay as long as possible until the convoy arrives.
My Solution This is by the far one of the most annoying mission in the whole game! Plus your EXP will decrease if you FAIL! The supplies will be guarded with ONE sentry gun which couldn't defend anything worth a rat's ass, USMC smarts fail again. So it'll likely get swarmed in a minute or two. Grab a buddy or two(anyone that can support you until the convoy arrives), get some medkits and batts located at a run-down building just a little north-east ahead and prepare for Undead attacks. Do remember to reload or repair the Sentry Gun as it can provide some cover/target. If your team cant hold out, I advise you to quickly retreat to the convoy(Medics will heal you with a Blood Transfusion).
Objective : Place 3 sentry guns located at the north-east town(beside a couple and a child) at designated areas.
My Solution This is pretty much a straightforward mission. It's better to get a Ghost to do this mission. But if neither you or your teammates lack a Ghost. You can go in groups of 1 or 2(One for support while the other goes). You can also use this time to find some supplies as you'll probably be going near the spawn areas of supplies. Leave some players to defend the town.
Convoy's Escort
Objective : Guard the convoy until they reach its destination.
My Solution
The main point of this mission is to make sure 2 of the 3 APCs reach their destinations. They'll be a detactment along with the APCs consisting of Riflemen. Flamethrowers, Combat Engineers(these guys can repair the APCs, so make sure they dont die), Medics(get a heal from them by moving close to them, they have cooldown though), one Detactment Commander(the guy that throws a frag around), a freaking imba Tank(this is probably why this is the most enjoyable mission) and a Designated Marksman(a.k.a Sniper) IF your playing Normal. Note that...more or less the squad could still make it in normal to possibly hard modes even without your assistance but you still can't trust them, due to the randomness of each game's zombie count! They'll go through passages that can separate them, because of this, it will endanger the mission. There'll be alot of zombs spawning during the convoy trip(e.g. ruined house no.1 zombs spawn precisely when the convoy passes by) and it is a good way to lvl up your MOS. There MIGHT be change for a different route when you almost reach the first destination( SOCOM said it got overrun, while I think otherwise) if u are doing an outbreak hard or above and u dont get all the players to help u i suggest u leave it. this is also a good time for one or two guys to go to the opposite way the convoy is going and get all the supplies u need. since the convoy is agroing everything it should be pretty safe excluding the blk ngiht and few arties charging u.
UMB MODE
Repair Energy Generator Objective : Collect 20 batts from the drop-off point(South-East town) and place it into the Energy Generator(North hill).
My Solution
This mission is quite unpredictable sometimes since UMB soldiers can always surprise with a platoon. It is important to ground flare or set up field cams around the perimeter your staging your base. If you have a ghost, please use him/her for this mission as you stand a better chance of successfully completing since you wont be chased by any normal zombs. But do remember that UMB soldiers can see cloaked units. Know the patrols and the UMB spawn points.
also u can get the mission done before it even comes which is highly recommended. there is a bat at the broken building east of the north hill. south of the nh by a stump and a batt close to the spawn point of bonny and dolly on the road. then find the batt cache and ur all done.
Red - Indicates the 2 towns.
Teal - Umbrella spawn/patrols
Blue - Batteries' LZ(Landing Zone)
Pink - The route I usually take for this mission.
Bonnie and Donnie
Objective : Eliminate Donnie(a oversized undead Dog) and Bonnie(a enahnced Stalker), both poses high damage that can slow you down.
My Solution A LOT of players underesitimate this duo because they think its 2 ordinary monsters with only enhanced speed and damage. You'll be mistaken as they are with Horrors (see guide). Both targets can actually take a lot of punishment before they go down so please be really careful handling them. A Forward Observer or a Detactment Commander can wait at thier spawning point so that C.A.S or any other skills can finish them off. Also u can have one guy go east and another go west. and ur all good. and there is another spawn on the map that isnt listed. the south one has another one right by it to the ne.
Intermediate missions
Most of this missions should need more than 1 player to do, but its really your choice whether to solo it yourself.
'Darreus' Objective : Eliminate ' Darreus ' before it reaches the next Sector.
This is a little example of it. Just imagine it more bigger and rape-awesome.
My Solution Okay..this is one heck of a mission. It is almost impossible to complete this mission alone since Darius could kill you in just one hit. Oh..two things you have to note about it is that...he can walk over barricades and hills and mountains, which is rather weird at first since most other zombies can't do this, and it can use its charge ability at you makeing it faster. Its charge attack must not be taken lightly and because Darius is kind of a boss/mini-boss, it can detect cloaked units. Now..to kill it you probably need a lot of firepower that it would be suicidal to bring this far out in the zombie-infested area, hence, it is likely to lose a couple of teammates if one is not careful. So what I normally do is lure it to one of the town(South-west is normally the best since it offers more cops) and with the combined efforts of the town's police force and your own team's firepower, Darius should go down quite easily.(Note : Stun it as many times as you can, If your a Combat Engineer or a Flamer, use the Net Trap. This makes it easier for you to eliminate it since it moves quite fast) Actually the best thing to do is let it reach the generator and get a ghost, assman, fo, dc, and anyone with a grenade launcher. not a regular grendade or ull get too close and agro it. while it gets suck at the gen u can just destroy it.
Plant Resonators
Objective : Place Resonators at the designated spots.
My Solution Okay...this is quite a simple mission. Its only that there may be a lot of zombs out there(your covering a lot of land and if your lucky/unlucky..you'll meet a mini-boss)so just plant them up and there you have it.
Hive Queens
Objective : Eliminate 5 Hive Queens(minions that are bigger).
ZOMG!
My Solution
There are 2 options in place for you to execute, you need only choose one. You can split your team into parties(2-4) and hunt down the Queens, however this takes a lot of risks as your venturing into a zombie-infested but if your the sporty type then this is for you. Option 2, is to station yourself either on the North-West or South-West town and wait for the Queens to come to you. I would usually choose option 2 since you can control and focus your firepower when the Queens come. Also, try to stun or trap the Queen as regularly as possible since it can be rather a burden if your attention is often disrupted by any other zombie hordes.
if your a Ghost turn on your heel and get their attention and they will get close enough to rifle-butt, send a few energy balls and plasmas while ur running too.
Minerva Objective : Destroy Minerva before it causes any more harm to the 2 towns.
My Solution Dont bother hunting for her...she'll come to you...while it is still good to have a Global Hawk to do a Airstrike or try to weaken her as much as you can. A Forward Observer is also recommended since Orbital Artillery can deal quite a sum of damage. Dont worry about Minerva, she'll be coming to you. Before she arrives, you might wanna do some quick-search for supplies around the abandoned buildings. Dont focus all your firepower on her since a number of zombs will be coming in too(DONT GET SWARMED!). Also..stun her as much as you can because she can really wreck some havoc. She has this jumping ability that stuns/slows down units once she stomps when she lands..so please be careful dealing with her.
Water Supply Examination Fill 6 vials of water and then return it back to the LZ(same landing zone for collection).
----->
x6
Note that, 2 vials for one well(water source)
My Solution This mission requires a lot of traveling, so dont be surprised if you encounter a few mini-bosses. You might want to split the vials(1 player-2 vials) so that each player can do the work individually. After each player has accomplised his/her part, go straight back to South-East town and return it to the coleection zone(the same area you received your vials).
Behemoth Anniihilation Objective : Eliminate a Behemoth-class Zombie(imagine a bluish giant Pudge).
My Solution You dont really have to worry much about this monstrosity since pwn-tacular Bravo Company(2 tanks plus a whole bloody battalion.OMG!) will be here by that time and they'll OWN(and I do sincerely mean that) that slow, disgusting blob of fats in no time.
UMB MODE
Umbrella Landing Zones Objective : Neutralize the guards positioned at the landing zones in order to stop Umbrella to get more reinforcements.
Red indicates all UMB landing zones.
Teal indicates the 2 towns.
My Solution It is entirely impossible and suicidal to do this on your own. There is also a time limit to this mission and even if you managed to neutralise most of the Umbrella checkpoints. You still wont be awarded with any EXP points. In order to accomplish this mission effectively, you need a Marksman(cams + long range + high dmg), Ghost(fast attack speed + cams + good dmg) and if you have him/her in your team- Detactment Commander(obvious reasons). You can split into groups of 2(one starting from the East while the other starts with West, or vice versa). You have to eliminate ALL the guards(3-4) standing at the checkpoints in order to complete the mission. the helicopter might also have a landing point near the nh in the mountains. it can happen pretty much anywhere there is a landing spot.
Gather Marine Corpses Objective : Retrieve 5/6(depending) marine corpses and bring it to the evacuation helicopter.
Blue indicates the POSSIBLE landing of the helicopter.
Orange indicates the landing zones of the corpses.
My Solution This mission has a very simple objective but comes a very unsafe journey to get the corpses(undertakers..?) AND return it to the helicpoter. Get a Marksman since he/she has the best opportunity to hit the enemy first. You might want to bring a Machine Gunner/Cyborg for firepower. Do note that corpses take up your inventory and you can put corpses into another player's inventory if you lack space.
Experienced missions
Finally...reaching the end....of my...guide..need sleep...anyway, these missions you'll be going up against missions that will NEED full support and teamwork.
Umbrella Papers Objecitve : Get information on the Umbrella Corp. by retrieving 2(depending) paper documents in the ruined city buildings in order to get a warrant to investigate thier facility.
My Solution This is one really stressing mission. SOCOM will alert you of these specified crates and you will have to go to the ruined town and find these crates by luck. Hence, this is one very uncertain mission. Thanks Nighthawk & Cody for the info!
Destroy Umbrella's Energy Generators Objective : Use the 3 satchel charges(given at the LZ) to destroy all 3 UMB energy generators that powers the sentry guns.
Blue indicates the Generators that you can place the charges first or second.
Red indicates the Generator that is advised place the charge last.
Dirt On Umbrella Objective: Umbrella has been suspected of playing a part in the zombie outbreak. You need to find 3 sorts of evidence on Umbrella.
My Solution Do note that once you place the last charge, you'll have to get the hell out of that facility in 30 seconds or the satchel charges will blow the crap outta you. You need not worry if you have Lift Boots since you can simply " fly " your way out of there. Once the explosion is over, go inside the facility again to get data on Umbrella. There are altogether 3 areas that SOCOM need information on : 1. Experiment Chamber(the ones where there are a lot of magical cages) 2. Main Computer System(the conference-sized table) 3. DNA scanner(A easily-distinguished computer table)
Once you got all the evidence you need to convict the Umbrella Corportion, get your arse ready for the final boss fight, head back to town and await for Bravo Company to come to the rescue.
Experiments' Escape Objective : Eliminate 2 Darreus, 4 Artemis and 2 Metasis (it looks really like a giant Frost Wyrm) and you can enjoy the rest of the day with R&R.
My Solution There are 2 scenarios for the last and final mission. This is one of them. You dont really have to worry much about them because Bravo will usually make quick work out of them. But do remember to keep yourself alive until the last moment( be really careful of all the monsters that come, Infestation level will probably be quite high). Once you(mostly Bravo) destroys all the creatures, that'll be the end of the game for all players so GG EVERYONE!
Genesis Objective : Eliminate Genesis before it causes anymajor damage to the towns. You are needed to ground flare certain places to "clear" the area.
My Solution This is the other scenario of the final mission. Bravo Company will be moving around the entire map to search for Genesis(which appears to likely spawn in between the North and South towns...WTF..). Remember to bring your ground flares as your needed to flare the specified place in order to move on/finish the patrol. Once the patrol is done, Bravo will return to the South-East town and Genesis will appear(North of South-east town). Genesis is your everyday imba uber-powerful super "whosyourdaddy" Boss but like every Boss...they have a weakness. Genesis's weakness is pretty much because hes so powerful and stuff..he lacks the ability to move except if you really go near him. So..what im suggesting that you just spam as much explosives on him so that the game can end faster, my puns can get better and you can get your sleep eariler.
Now that you have seen my guide, you will die terribly and then be reanimated into a zombie if you dont introduce my guide to 3 other UA2 users. You have 10 minutes. MWHAHAH.
(Chain Letter joke is implied)
NOTES
Okay..just to clear things up a little. The reason i exclude some minor-missions(e.g hunt Mutants in Hard and Insane) because it isn't really counted much of a mission plus those are also quite obvious too. Thank you very much for viewing my guide and I sincerely hope this can help improve your performance in the UA2. Cheers.
