RQ-7B Global Hawk

From Undead Assault II Guide

(Redirected from Global Hawk)
Jump to: navigation, search

The Global Hawk is a unique MOS incredibly useful in the right hands. The Global Hawk is the fastest unit and since it can fly over the terrain, it can cover the map very quickly. As such, the Global Hawk is great at reconnaissance. However, there is a downside to the Global Hawk; it's not a hero. It doesn't level up, and only has 1 inventory space, cannot be revived by Navy Corpsman, and its abilities do not improve.

Tips

  • The Global Hawk can't pick up certain, mission critical items. It can't carry the sentry guns during the sentry mission, the satchel charges, the office papers, or the resonators.
  • The Global Hawk can't enter the Umbrella Facility, it explodes without warning.
  • Batteries are incredibly useful, they restore over half of the Global Hawk's energy each.
  • Energy Generator has no effect on the Global Hawk.
  • Shotgun item works on the Global Hawk.

Strategies

  • There are two main roles that the Global Hawk fulfills. Recon/Mobile Weapons Platform. With your mobility, you are the perfect candidate for killing a Pudge using simple micromanagement. Unfortunately since you only have 1 inventory slot, you will have to make several trips back and forth if you try to gather items.
  • Learn what items are most needed by the other MOS'. Also learn to prioritize what items to take back as soon as they are found. These will change from game to game and even throughout a single game. While almost anything at all is useful at the beginning, you only need to stockpile so many medkits.
  • If supplies are not needed, your team will appreciate time taken to protect them with your Hellfire Rockets and Photon Blast.
  • You should take advantage of your ability to shoot and your unobstructed vision of the battlefield by escorting marines when they go on dangerous missions or are otherwise moving through hostile territory.
  • Using a combination of Photon Blasts and Hellfires, along with some skillful flying, a Hawk can take a Pudge or even the Behemoth on by itself. Just be wary of the Hellfire's splash range, a single shot can easily kill yourself. If you think you might kill someone with the splash, play it safe and use Photon Blast instead and then shoot the now unmoving target.
  • When moving, use the terrain to your advantage. Fly over cliffs and buildings to escape and confuse enemies. Shredders and Krill can be dangerous since they can also bypass terrain and have high speeds.
  • Here, the Hawk hovers over some buildings while blasting away at the Mutants with Hellfire Rockets.

  • This Hawk lured some undead up the cliff only to fly over the side, making them turn around and go back down the cliff. You can easily take down bosses using this simple strategy.

  • You can use the Hawk to place sentry guns in otherwise inaccessible locations. On top of cliffs, or down in ravines.
